The day has finally come.  After almost 4 years of building in my small garage at my home, I finally get a new space to finish the build.

Over the winter I had a new hangar constructed that will be the new home for my RV10.  The hangar was supposed to be completely finished by the end of March.  However, weather played a part in a delay.  It was very close but the electrical did not get finished.  Will be done this week.  Yeh!

Anyway, I had a crew already set up to help this weekend so we did it anyway.

Normally this time of year it is pretty nice an ground pretty much dried out.  This year is totally different and we still have a ton of snow and it has started to melt.  This made for a muddy move from the garage to the driveway where we loaded the airplane.

Even with a few obstacles to work around, the move went absolutely perfect with no issues or damage.  And it is now in its new home.  Once the hangar is set up for building I will be back to work.

Wanted a little extra room so went with 54' x 60'.  I will be fully finished with floor heat, bathroom, office, etc.

Early this year the sticks were put in the ground and the last week the Burchill Construction got moving getting it enclosed.  Is is amazing how fast these metal buildings go up.

They got the door installed yesterday and plan to have it completely enclosed today.  Then it will be fully insulated and sheeted by end of tomorrow, then the heat gets turned on on Monday so they can get the ground thawed so concrete can be poured.

]]>Propeller and Spinner Installhttp://www.briansrv10.com/log/propeller-and-spinner-install.htmlBrian Steeves2012-06-29T13:47:00Z2012-06-29T13:47:00ZStarted working on getting the prop and spinner mounted to the engine.  Pretty straight forward per the instructions.  Getting the cutout on the spinner for the prop was the hardest until I found out that Hartzel acutally has a template.  Oh well, got it anyway.

Got everything mounted and matchdrilled, put in the nutplates and started to work on gap fillers that go behind the prop.  These took some time to get just perfect but did manage.

Sure looks cool with the prop on.  Starting to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.
